These Boots are Made for Walking

Give a girl the right shoes and she can conquer the world. — Marilyn Monroe

Happy November!! I love this month as we start to kick off the holiday season which includes one of my favorite holidays, Thanksgiving. This season is a perfect time to take a long breath and remember what we are thankful for. I have had a few curveballs in the last couple months where major plans went sideways and although disappointed, keeping my faith that there is a plan far greater than mine is what got me through! It also reminded me to be thankful for the smallest of blessings!!

This month also finds us with the temps finally dropping and that means it’s official…it’s boot season. I have shared again and again that a shoe can make your outfit, and this could not be truer with a great pair of boots! The perfect match to your chunky sweaters, jeans, and dresses.

A boot is a true closet workhorse that can carry you now through next spring. These are great investment pieces as the styles last for many seasons. I have a pair of over the knee boots that I bought several years ago that are still as stylish as ever. Some of my favs this fall /winter are the classics from riding boots to a simple black ankle bootie. Western boots and the so so popular Chelsea boot also never disappoint.

Below I have rounded up a few of the best women’s boots to get you in the cool weather mood!

Riding Boots – This flat boot is taking the fashion world by storm. Take a page from Kate Middleton’s book and accent your fall style with a cute pair of riding boots. Wear with Leggings or jeans and an oversized sweater or blouse and blazer.

Platform Boots – This trend has been around for some time and not going anywhere. Although the Chelsea chunky heel boot is most popular, you can find many styles. My favorite way to wear them this winter is with a pair of cropped jeans. They also look great with dresses for a more cool vibe.

Flat Boots – This is a more refined option and nothing says classic like a flat black bootie. It is a great alternative to the chunky lug soles and while they are still a vibe, these are more sophisticated. Pair them with a skirt or jeans.

Cowboy Boots - These have been around forever and they are not going anywhere. Fashion houses and celebrities are embracing the trend which can only mean one thing, they're here to stay. I love them with either a short or midi dress, along with jeans and a sweater.

Slouchy Boots – These are definitely getting a revival this season. Although they can look a little boho, with jeans they can look so chic. I also love them with a midi skirt or dress.

Over the Knee Boots - This is also a classic that has been around for hundreds of years and date back to the original riding boots. Now we find them as a statement boot that can truly make your outfit. Great for pairing with a shorter dress or skirt. I also love mine with skinny jeans or leggings and an oversized sweater.

One thing I am very thankful for is the community here! I have been writing my blog for over three years and it brings me so much joy when someone shares how I inspired them to try something new and in turn feel beautiful…. that is why I do what I do!!

Let's step into November with ease, grace, and joy in the simplest of things. I look forward to helping you clear the clutter, maximize your wardrobe, shine a little brighter, and feel fabulous every day!!

With Grace,
